florida-animals-in-need: These two Dachshunds, “Andy” and “Duke”, were dumped at Pasco County Animal Control (in Land O Lakes FL, just north of Tampa) by their owner, who stated that she “couldn’t deal with their health problems”. Andy is 8 years old, and has an enlarged heart which requires daily medication. Duke is 2 years old, and is heartworm-positive. They are both very sweet and well behaved, and can follow basic commands. Unfortunately, because PCAS cannot afford to pay for the cost of keeping animals with health issues alive, they are on the Euthanasia List and could be killed as soon as Monday morning, unless someone steps up to foster or adopt them. Duke’s ID # is D7606 and Andy’s is D7604. If you can foster or adopt these sweet boys, please call Pasco County Animal Services at 727-834-3216 or email adoptionpartners@pascocountyfl.net.
